What it controls
EXTENDED raises VARCHAR2, NVARCHAR2 and RAW limits from 4000 to 32767 bytes.
Know this before you change it
The change is permanent: it can't be set back to STANDARD. It needs STARTUP UPGRADE, the utl32k.sql script and a full backup first.
Default: STANDARD
