ORA-12505
ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
What usually causes it
The connect string asks for a SID that the listener doesn't have registered.
What to check first
Connect by SERVICE_NAME instead. lsnrctl status lists what the listener knows.
